What is a NT Pro BNP Test ?


NT Pro BNP test is an advanced test for diagnosis various heart conditions like heart failure, chronic hypertension and myocardial infarct. During these conditions level of a hormone called N-terminal pro b-type natriuretic peptide increases in the blood. This hormone is released by the heart as a response to  increased pressure and stretching of heart muscle cells.
