What is a CA 19.9 ?
CA 19.9 Test is cancer marker test mainly for pancreatic cancer that is done by Maurya Labs Purnia, Bihar. CA 19.9 is an antigen that is released by pancreatic cancer cells. In case of malignancy or pancreatic cancer the levels of CA 19.9 increases which helps in diagnosis of the cancer. It is also known as the CA 19.9 radio-immunoassay test. This is to be noted that the doctor will not be able to confirm pancreatic cancer with CA 19.9 alone. Investigations like MRCP or CECT abdomen may be needed to support the blood test.
CA 19.9 test is done using the blood drawn through a vein in your arm by our trained phlebotomist either at Maurya Labs, Purnea, Bihar or at your home during home sample collection.
