CA 19.9 Test is cancer marker test mainly for pancreatic cancer that is done by Maurya Labs Purnia, Bihar. CA 19.9 is an antigen that is released by pancreatic cancer cells. CA 19.9 can be done on advise of the doctor. If during the examination in OPD doctor sees following symptoms then he can advise CA 19.9 to rule out pancreatic cancer:

  • Pain in the upper abdomen that radiates to your back
  • Loss of appetite or unintended weight loss
  • Depression
  • New-onset diabetes
  • Blood clots
  • Fatigue
  • Yellowing of your skin and the whites of your eyes (jaundice)

This is to be noted that the doctor will not be able to confirm pancreatic cancer with CA 19.9 alone. Investigations like MRCP or CECT abdomen may be needed to support the blood test.
