What is COVID 19 / SARS-CoV2 Antigen Test?
This is the test that can identify the virus that causes COVID-19. This test is intended for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2. It makes use of Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase (RT)-PCR Diagnostic Panels. As such there is another Covid test which is card test which gives positive or negative. On the other hand Covid 19 RT PCR test gives the viral load. The biggest drawback of the card test is that it gives false negative result i.e. it can give a negative result even if you are Covid positive, hence it is not very reliable test.
